In collaboration with our community, Oberlin City Schools educates students to excel academically while providing support for their social and emotional needs in an open and inclusive environment.  Oberlin's Board has articulated the priorities of a multicultural and highly rigorous curriculum.  Oberlin City Schools is the only public school district in Ohio authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World District, offering IB at all levels, and requiring it of all students in grades pre-k-10. This highly regarded preparation results in the highest college acceptance rates, and IB graduates typically receive more advanced standing (credit) and scholarships.
