Enjoy the intimate setting of an acclaimed college art museum. Whether you stop in for a few minutes, or plan to make a day of it, youÆll find remarkable works of art from many cultures. The Allen Memorial Art Museum has offered free admission since its founding in 1917. In addition to installations of its collection of more than 15,000 works of art, the Allen presents changing exhibitions on specific artists or ideas. The Weltzheimer/Johnson House at Oberlin College is a Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian House situated several blocks from campus.  Check the Art Museum's website for tour and ticket information.

Common Ground is home to summer day camps for youth, adult team-building programs, and custom-designed seminars. We have a top-rated zipline canopy tour open to the public, the proceeds from which are reinvested in our youth programs.

The Lorain County Metro Parks system has been established for the responsible use, enjoyment and accessibility of every citizen of Lorain County. The Park District is supported by a 1.6-mill levy property tax, earned income and a variety of sponsors and gifts. The Oberlin Heritage Center is an accredited complex of historic sites, a historical society and a historic preservation organization that offers educational programs, tours, kids' activities, workshops and more.  Guided tours are scheduled every Thursday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  Self-guided tours are available Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (last entry at 2:30 p.m.)  Or, enjoy a themed History Walk through downtown neighborhoods in warmer months.  Group tours are available year-round with reservations.
